Start the process to become a driver-partner in Tasmania
Thanks for your interest in becoming a driver-partner in Hobart.
We're finalising the requirements to become a driver-partner in Tasmania, and we'll keep you updated about next steps as soon as we can.
To get the process started early, you can apply to get a Working with Vulnerable People (Children) registration. All driver-partners will be required to have a certification, so you can get ahead of the pack by applying early!
When you start your application, select the following options:
- For Class of registration, choose "Employment/volunteer"
- For Child-related activity, choose "Child transport service (includes all Public Passenger Vehicle Ancillary Certificate holders)" (image below)
- For Regulated Body Name, choose the "Registrar of Motor Vehicles"
While Uber does not allow children to travel alone, this is the type of certification you need from the Department of Justice.
