What does an Item Tampering Complaint mean?
A recipient let us know that they felt part of their order was tampered with en route to them. This may involve opening and / or damaging the packaging of items, or consumption of a food order.
People use Uber because it has some of your city’s best local items and they want to enjoy these things delivered to where they are. An important part of this experience is ensuring items are kept safe and carried correctly.
Items should never be opened or tampered with when travelling to their destination.
How can I ensure this doesn't happen again?
Keep in mind when delivering that items should always remain sealed in their packaging. If you need to check all items are in the packaging, this should be done at the merchant location, without damage done to the packaging. Never open an item en route to a delivery destination.
